Qualifications
The application process for the Bob and JoAnn Martinez Scholarship is designed to be straightforward, encouraging all eligible students to apply with confidence. This scholarship not only supports aspiring artists but also serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by their parents and the protections provided by Teamsters Local 70.
Eligibility
Must be a child of a current member of Teamsters Local 70
Major
Must be pursuing a practical arts major. Eligible fields include, but are not
limited to: Radio, Film, Television, Theater, Visual Arts, Music, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Dance, Interior Design, Culinary Arts, Animation.

GPA
Minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher
Enrollment
Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or community college
Documentation
Finalists will be asked to send in proof of GPA, Major, and Enrollment
Distribution
Scholarship funds may be tax-free when used for qualified educational expenses. Tax treatment may depend on the recipient’s enrollment status and how the funds are used. Recipients should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their individual circumstances.
